The University of Greenwich is the best university in London for teaching excellence, according to the Sunday Times. The table in the latest Sunday Times University Guide league table, published on 11 September, puts Greenwich in first place for teaching excellence. The ranking puts Greenwich ahead of 20 other universities in the capital, including the London School of Economics, University College London and Imperial College. The table is based on the National Student Survey, which asks all final year students to rate their institutions on a variety of topics, including the quality of teaching, academic support, assessment and feedback. Tessa Blackstone, Vice-Chancellor of the university, says: “It is very satisfying to have received such a huge vote of confidence from our students. We place great importance on the quality of our teaching and the personal support that we offer to everyone during their time at Greenwich. It is also crucial that we keep listening to what students tell us they want, and that we continue to deliver the highest standards of teaching, facilities and career guidance.”
